How do I get Connected at The Lighthouse?
Connections
Every Wednesday evening at 7 pm we gather together for a "Second Helping". We dig deeper spiritually as we discuss the message and Scripture from the previous Sunday. The discussion is interesting and animated, and sometimes surprising! All who hunger for a deeper relationship with Jesus are welcome.

Alpha
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed manner over ten, thought provoking weekly sessions. Alpha is for everyone: those wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to the church and those who want to brush up on the basics. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything!

The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions designed to help any married couple strengthen and enrich their relationship. The course covers: Building Strong Foundations; The Art of Communication; Resolving Conflict; The Power of Forgiveness; The Impact of Family; Good Sex and Love in Action. This interactive, DVD led course includes clips of couples sharing their experiences of the Marriage Course; street interviews from around the world; breaks for practical exercises and discussion times.

Belonging: Base 1
What is “church”?  Isn’t church a “crutch”?  Why do we exist as a church?  What is our unique purpose?  How do we plan to accomplish what we believe God has called us to do as a church?  What is a “Free Methodist”?
What are our Core Values? These introductory questions (and more) are covered in one three-hour class.

Growing in God: Base 2
We want a vital faith.  We want the ‘real thing’.  We don’t just want religion that feels like duty, or ‘going through the motions’, but we want an intimate and life-giving walk with God.  Base 2 introduces members to “Spiritual Disciplines” (activities or habits we do that make us more able to receive God’s love, life and power) – like prayer, and Bible reading.

Discovering Purpose: Base 3
All you are is so very valuable; in fact you are eternally important.  The Bible says that you have been created with a purpose.  God wants to use all your talents, gifts, experiences, and passion to impact others in very meaningful and practical ways, all the way to heaven!  Base three is a three-hour class that helps you discover ministry purpose.  Please note:  At the Lighthouse we don't want you plugging into ministry until this is “home” for you.

Embracing Mission : Base 4
It’s one thing to say we believe and quite another to put that into action.  So this class endeavours to complete a ‘project’ such as missions to India, Sri Lanka, and Ghana, bringing food and supplies to a flooded or hurricane damaged city, or meeting needs in our own back yard. The sky is the limit!.
