What has changed?
Many in our community have noticed by now
that we have sold our church building. Like many
churches, given the current state of our economy, we
have found that the cost of keeping and maintaining a
big building no longer made sense. So, we have
downscaled and minimized in order to better put the
finances given to God's work by investing in the
community we're called to serve.
We have served Ridgeway for over 125
years and "we're still standing, but we're not standing
still." So while we no longer have our familiar
building, we are still a vibrant and active church. If
you are not plugged in to a church community and you're
looking for a place to worship where you will be
accepted and embraced, please come and visit us. You
just might find that it's a good fit for you.
So, if we don't have a church
then where can you find us?
We believe that God is doing something new in Ridgeway, so
beginning in August 2010, you will find us every Sunday
at the BOUTIQUE MOVIE THEATRE. Come as you are, blue
jeans and t-shirts or three-piece suits - all are
welcome here as you relax in air-conditioned comfort, aw
we do church on the big screen.
We are located at 329 Ridge Road North (At Hershey).
This location serves as our administrative offices with
a place for meeting and study.
When you are visiting with us...
First of all, we want you to feel free to
come as you are. Second, please let us know who you are and how we might minister to your needs. Lastly, when you visit we want you to know that you are our honoured guest, so when it comes time to receiving the tithes and offerings, please don’t feel any obligation to give.
What Can you expect from us?
Sunday Mornings: We endeavour to nurture and develop a friendly, safe, creative environment, which is “sensitive” to all backgrounds – even if you’ve never been connected to any chur ch before. One of our core values is that we strive to be culturally relevant while remaining
true to God's word. That means, using great music, drama and multi-media to show how the experiences from ancient days are applicable and relevant to us today.
Come as you are, dress comfortably, blue jeans
or pin-stripes... both are welcome. When you arrive Sunday
morning, please help yourself to a coffee available at the “He-Brews Café” at
9:30 a.m. with
our "Gathering" beginning at 10:00.
